The Director of Talent & Culture we are looking for acts as a true strategic business partner to leadership, going beyond traditional HR frameworks. This role plays a key part in the organization’s evolution by contributing to overall performance, team effectiveness, and ways of working.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Partner to Leadership

  • Act as a strategic HR partner to the VP of Finance and executive leadership team on matters related to organizational structure, workforce planning, and team development
  • Lead organizational transformation projects, including role evolution, integration in a growth context, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support leadership in evolving teams and ways of working according to business needs and different growth phases
  • Identify automation and process improvement opportunities to support organizational efficiency and employee experience
  • Produce analyses and recommendations grounded in business logic, including payroll-to-revenue ratio, productivity, cost-per-hire, and retention of key talent

 

AI-First Transformation & Organizational Productivity

  • Lead the evolution of HR processes toward more efficient and automated practices, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, payroll, and benefits
  • Identify, implement, and encourage adoption of AI and technology tools that simplify administrative tasks and support both HR and operational teams
  • Collaborate with VPs and managers to map team processes and identify opportunities for evolution and continuous improvement
  • Help foster an organizational culture that embraces innovation and the use of AI tools to improve team efficiency

 

Organizational Performance & Accountability

  • Develop HR objectives and KPIs aligned with the organization’s business priorities
  • Implement mechanisms and metrics that support managers in improving team performance, engagement, and efficiency
  • Proactively identify and develop high-potential talent to support growth and organizational continuity
  • Deploy structured feedback tools (pulse surveys, stay interviews, performance reviews) to provide clear visibility into organizational health and employee experience

 

Advisory Role & People Management

  • Advise and support managers through performance discussions, team reorganizations, and complex employee situations
  • Manage investigations, conflicts, and employee matters with professionalism, responsiveness, and sound judgment
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (CNESST, Law 25, the 1% training law, Quebec/Ontario/BC labour standards)
  • Oversee payroll, benefits, and relationships with external HR partners

 

Talent Acquisition & Development

  • Maintain a workforce plan aligned with strategic priorities and company growth needs
  • Lead a talent acquisition strategy focused on quality, efficiency, and cultural fit
  • Support managers in developing career paths and training plans centered on strategic competencies, including AI tools

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8–10 years of experience in human resources, including at least 3 years in an HR leadership or senior HRBP role within a growing or transforming organization
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational transformation, team structure evolution, or integration within growth and M&A contexts
  • Hands-on experience implementing automated HR tools and initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency
  • Strong comfort with HR data and metrics, with the ability to support recommendations through concrete analysis and business indicators
  • Results-oriented mindset with a strong understanding of business and organizational challenges
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive conversations with professionalism, clarity, and respect
  • Strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in fast-changing environments
  • Fully bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written — essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or another equivalent relevant field
  • Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations: CNESST, Law 25, the 1% training law, and Quebec and Canadian labour standards

ASSETS

  • Experience in a technology or SaaS company
  • Knowledge of labour laws in Ontario and British Columbia
  • Experience with Nethris or similar HR platforms
  • CRHA designation
  • Experience with AI tools applied to human resources (AI-powered ATS, engagement tools, modern LMS platforms)
