We are looking for a DevOps Specialist to join our team of experts in cloud infrastructure and DevOps best practices.

You will support our organization in designing and implementing technical solutions addressing security, cloud infrastructure, and deployment challenges (Amazon Web Services / Kubernetes / GitLab / Linux)

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Linux Systems Administration

  • Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux servers, including operating system installation, performance tuning, and security updates.
  • Administer critical services such as HAProxy, Nginx, Apache, C++ applications, and customized monitoring and logging solutions.
  • Automate routine tasks using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and shell/Python scripts to streamline administration and system management processes.
  • Implement system hardening practices to ensure high levels of security and resilience.

Cloud Infrastructure and Containers

  • Administer Kubernetes clusters (EKS): Ensure maintenance, updates, and monitoring.
  • Supervise and optimize infrastructure deployed on OVH and AWS, including advanced networking management (VPC, Security Groups, ACLs, routing).
  • Actively contribute to migrating and modernizing legacy systems to improve resilience and scalability.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization

  • Monitor system and network performance metrics (latency, response times) using tools like Datadog and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal service availability.
  • Analyze and resolve complex issues involving networks, databases, or application performance.

Infrastructure Security and Robustness

  • Implement security best practices for Linux servers, containers, and cloud services.
  • Apply security patches in a timely manner to prevent vulnerabilities.
  • Manage and monitor secure access through VPN, SSH keys, and AWS IAM policies.
  • Participate in security audits and post-incident analyses to identify and resolve weaknesses.
  • Implement tools and processes to automate threat detection and resolution (e.g., vulnerability scans, log monitoring).

Collaboration and Support

  • Work closely with development teams to integrate robust solutions following DevOps and GitOps best practices.
  • Provide on-call support on a rotating basis (with bonuses) and respond quickly to critical incidents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional Experience: Several years of experience managing and administering enterprise Kubernetes clusters.
  • Development Environment: Understanding of Java and C++ development ecosystems.
  • AWS Expertise: Advanced usage of Amazon Web Services in a professional context, including cloud service management and optimization.
  • Technical Skills: Strong expertise in troubleshooting Linux and Docker (containerd) systems and advanced knowledge of IP networking, including AWS ACLs, routing, security groups, and VPCs.
  • Cybersecurity: Solid experience in security, especially in managing VPNs and responding to security incidents.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in French (written and spoken) and ability to work in English.
  • Additional Assets: Backend development experience and sensitivity to financial aspects of infrastructure management.
  • Autonomy and Proactivity: Ability to learn and solve problems independently.
  • Collaboration: Strong ability to work in a team and share best practices.
  • Organization and Rigor: Capacity to effectively manage projects and solve complex problems.
  • Pedagogy and Communication: Ability to clearly explain technical concepts and raise awareness of best practices among teams.
