From Observation to Action

The time is not for questioning, but for integrating and adapting. It is no longer a question of whether people will be ready to buy their vehicle online: many consumers have already taken the plunge! More than 40% of car buyers will be millennials this year. This population in their early thirties is already used to shopping online for everything, from shoes to groceries.

It is a natural progression to apply this consumption trend to the automotive field, explained Louis-Yves Cloutier. However, there is one subtle distinction: even if many consumers start their research online, they still finalize 95% of their purchases at the dealership. The real challenge for dealers lies in offering a seamless transition between online and offline that is transparent for the consumer and inspires confidence — too many dealers still lack  integrated systems today.

“Consumers today have choice, and choice stands for revolution.” L-Y. Cloutier
